Services

Two trust structures. One mandate: get your aircraft flying.

We offer the two trust types the FAA recognises for foreign owners: a standard trustee arrangement, or an individually formed U.S. corporation held solely for your aircraft.

01 / Standard

FAA Trust

Your aircraft is registered to "International Air Services Inc., Trustee" with your name filed as beneficial owner. The fastest route onto the N-register.

02 / Bespoke

Individual Owner Trust

A U.S. corporation registered solely for your aircraft, in a name you choose, at your foreign address if preferred. For owners who want segregated structure.

Lifetime Advisory

Title and lien searches, airworthiness and export certificates, annual inspections, and transatlantic ferrying support stay available for the life of the trust.

“I was worried about placing my aircraft in someone else's name. The FAA filing made it clear: I am the owner, IAS is not. The paperwork was done inside a week, at half the fee my lawyer had quoted elsewhere.”

Why IAS

The difference is focus.

IAS is not a charter operator, broker, or sales house. Registration is all we do. That means no conflicts, no upsells, and a fee structure that reflects a tightly focused practice.

No conflicts

Your aircraft is never treated as an asset of our company.

Lowest in market

Often half the fee of comparable trustee services.

Direct contact

You work with a registrar, not a call centre.

FAQ

Questions owners most often ask.

If yours is not here, a registrar will answer personally.

Am I still the owner if IAS holds the trust?

Yes. The FAA states in writing that registration is not proof of ownership. Your name is filed as beneficial owner, and 49 U.S.C. §44103(c)(2) confirms registration is not evidence of title.

What if IAS encounters financial difficulty?

Your aircraft is not an asset of the corporation. IAS exists to register aircraft for non-U.S. citizens and does not take delivery, lease, manage, or pay for your aircraft.

Why do you offer two types of trust?

The standard FAA trust is the fastest and most economical route for many owners. The individual owner trust is preferred when a segregated U.S. corporate structure is required for a specific aircraft.

Do I need an FAA pilot's licence to fly an N-registered aircraft?

Not outside the United States. Under FAR 61.3(a), a pilot may operate an N-registered aircraft in a foreign country using the licence issued by that country.
